Bodies Revealed Coming to Gallia County

The Bossard Library is the host of the Bodies Revealed, an exhibit that features "...the human body in unprecedented detail in a manner normally reserved for medical professionals. Visitors can look deep inside the carefully-preserved specimens, learn disease and unhealthy lifestyles have on the body."

So real human bodies on display. REAL HUMANS. If you are interested in science, or the human form this exhibit is worth seeing. And speaking of worth, admission to this exhibit is free to the public. If you are unaware this exhibit normally costs about $30 a person to view but The Bossard Library is inviting everyone to partake in this experience for free starting September 25th to December 31st.

I think it is cool that this exhibit will be here just in time for Halloween. For the kids who dress up as skeletons it will be neat actually see a skeleton. From a tourism standpoint these moving exhibits are fantastic for a small town. Bodies Revealed has a following and reputation, which will bring more visitors to Gallia County. This brings visitors to local businesses and is a bump in our own economy. If you have ever wondered why tourism is so important in a small town, this is why.

The Bossard Library works diligently to offer activities for youth to adults year 'round, their mission is " ...learning is a celebration of life, and that reading is the best way to enjoy that experience.". After you view the exhibit be sure to thank the staff for their efforts. We are incredibly lucky to have such an active library!
